David Underwood

David is one of the UK’s most experienced and trusted buried network designers. Possessing vast heat network route proving and coordination expertise, David has managed the design and installation of many of the UK’s largest and most complex buried networks.

David specialises in delivering District Energy Network design solutions, Route Proving, Design and Project Development, Construction Supervision, Project Planning and Support, and 3D Utility and Pipe Modelling for city-wide Heat Network projects in accordance with BIM II principles, across both the Public and Private sectors: reducing costs and risk, whilst improving installation safety, management and quality.

David is highly experienced at identifying and managing technical risks and has taken CDM pre-construction information and standards within the Heat Network industry to a new level. He is therefore adept at identifying and managing technical, coordination and buried risks throughout the CDM cycle, and is a trusted advisor to several large organisations including E.ON, SSE, AECOM and a number of local authorities.
