Daniel, a mechanical engineering graduate, has an extensive background in 2D and 3D CAD systems. Holding a BEng (Hons) Motorsport Engineering & Design degree from UWTSD Swansea, he also has experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA).
Since starting at 3D Technical Design as a CAD technician, Daniel has supported various projects, producing general arrangement drawings and concept design models that have led to the installation of district heat network systems around the country. By progressing within the company firstly as a technician, junior designer and project manager, Daniel brings a mix of technical knowledge and project management experience to 3D Technical Design. As project manager, he helps produce scopes and coordinate the team, all while ensuring clients’ needs are met and work is delivered to a high standard, on time, and in accordance with the company’s procedures.
Prior to his career here at 3D Technical Design, Daniel worked in design and technical roles, including highway design and precast concrete detailing. He holds a PRINCE2 foundation certificate and, in a previous project management role, oversaw the construction of large-scale cladding systems, which were then tested for fire resistance.
